Location: Winnipeg - Hybrid (20-40% on-site, remainder is a remote support)
Hours: Part-time, 8 - 16 hours / week (flexible schedule)

TABAQ is Manitoba’s fastest growing startup focused on high-quality, rapid response and mobile Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services for the aerospace and aviation industry.
We are hiring an experienced, regulatory-savvy PRM to own airworthiness, supervise NDT operation to ensure it is executed per our Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) and CARs requirements, liaison with Transport Canada, and inspire our team to better service our customers.
Core responsibilities
Supervise and approve NDT operations and ensure it meets our MPM and the CARs requirements.
Act as TABAQ’s formal liaison with Transport Canada.
Formulate, review and approve policies, procedures, and MPM amendments.
Manage technical records and control access rights.
Assign NDT tasks and ensure Work Orders are completed per MPM.
Monitor NDT execution by staff or subcontractors and ensure QA policies are applied.
Ensure adequate calibrated tools, equipment and engineering standards are available and maintained; own the calibration register oversight.
Oversee onboarding and training program; perform or delegate written/oral/practical assessments for new candidates and after staff training.
Assess and report Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs) as applicable.
Authorize Shop Certification Authority (SCA) holders and control NDT Authorized Release Certificate signatories.
Required qualifications & experience
Minimum 6 years experience in the aviation industry including NDT inspection or direct AMO operations supervision with at least 6 months of that experience within the last 2 years.
Demonstrated knowledge of the CARs and PRM responsibilities.
Strong familiarity with CAN/CGSB-48.9712 NDT standards and experience supervising CGSB Level 2/3 personnel or equivalent.
Proven QA/audit experience (performing WO audits, managing corrective actions and training programs).
Experience managing technical data, records keeping, and calibration registers.
Excellent communication skills and experience liaising with regulatory authorities.
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and deliver.
Pre-requisite Transport Canada Exam
If the candidate does NOT hold a Canadian AME license, they must pass a Transport Canada open-book (PRMN) exam on CARs demonstrating regulatory knowledge. All candidates are required to complete the oral interview with Transport Canada before hiring.
